Hidden treasures V.1
Remember when you were new to dA?  How no-one paid any attention to your work, despite all the effort you put in?  So do we!  That’s why Mr-Gizmo & I decided to bring you this feature.
Here you will find our top photography with little or no recognition.  Our aim is to give them the exposure (pun intended) they deserve, and hopefully some of you will take the time to give them your feedback.  We are a community, share your knowledge and help others improve, or just applaud them for a piece well done.
We all need a little help here & there to make us better at what we do, whether we take courses to learn these skills or just feel our way along.  These photographers have what it takes; don’t let them think “what’s the point if no-one even looks at my work, or will offer guidance?”
Please note that some of the featured images have more than our allowed comments/favourite

Photographers Deserving More Credit
There are so many deviations posted everyday, that it makes it extremely difficult to catch all the great ones. Here's a selection of those that either fell through the cracks of DA or simply deserve more credit.
If you have time, please comment on some of these deviations, or favourite the news article to give these artists more exposure.

If you think you deserve more credit for your work, leave a comment :)

Photobox, my online digital photo printers of choice, are having a competition to celebrate 10 years in business.  It was divided into categories by continent on a theme of Around the World in 80 Days.   I submitted a number of my American shots and promptly forgot all about it.  Until today.…

Four rows down, in the centre.

Here, as a dev:

No idea why they chose this one of all the American stuff I submitted, but I'm sort of glad they did.  I can't see it winning, somehow, as there's some stiff competition, but it's nice to be in all the same.

Thanks for faving the Kis snapshot; it increases the likelihood of my return to work on it, and at an earlier time. :)

No problem! Great work. What do you think is still "to do"?
chemoelectric Featured By Owner Feb 24, 2011
Spacing and kerning is incomplete, small caps and so forth are incomplete, the bold is very incomplete, the bold italic is non-existent. I suppose the bolds are more important than the small caps and such, because the Kis is meant to serve well as a general-purpose screen and web font, such as for my blog.

Lately I have been more interested in the e-ink display of the Kindle 3, which seems to favor very different design choices; thus my failure so far to return to work on the Kis.

Interesting; I don't have a Kindle so can't comment, but I hadn't considered that it might influence the decisions of typographers.
